This course is a continuation of semester one level 100. It is designed to enable students acquire the basic rudiments of the language with emphasis on communication, expressions and vocabulary. Emphasis will also be placed on correct pronunciation of French sound patterns, intonation and stress when engaged in basic conversation such as greetings, making request, expressing regret, making telephone calls etc. The use of variety of recorded audio-oral and video Teaching Learning Materials will be encouraged to help students build their listening and speaking skills in French.

Course aim(s) and objectives

By the end of the semester, students will be able to deepen their knowledge in the basic rudiments of the language with emphasis on communication and expressions in order to:

·         Give orders and, commands etc.

      . Make requests and propose invitations
