Topics  to be treated include: Sets, Operations on Set, and Properties of Sets: Commutative, Associative and Distributive Properties of Union and Intersection of Sets, De Morgan’s law, Cartesian Product of Sets. The Real Number System: Natural Numbers, Whole Numbers, Integers, Rational and Irrational Numbers. Properties of Addition and Multiplication on the Set of Real Numbers; Relation of order in the system of real numbers; Algebra of Complex Numbers; Introduction to Relations and Functions; Linear Equations and Inequalities with their graphs; Quadratic functions and Inequalities, Indices and Logarithms; their Laws and Applications Matrices Remainder and Factor Theorems and Solution of Cubic Equations.
